Research of the RPA Sustainable Chemistry led by Dr Amanda Garcia has just been featured in C2W, the chemistry magazine issued by the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society.

The piece highlights how electrochemistry can drive greener chemical processes — and why it's a key player in the energy transition. From controlling electrons to rethinking synthesis pathways, there's a lot of potential (pun intended 😉).

It refers to two recent papers,  in the Journal of the American Chemical Society and ChemCatChem, on synthesising useful compounds in a greener and more sustainable way. Although they are quite different in terms of content, all the reactions are driven by electrons under ambient conditions.
